Creating meaningful experiences for those who need them most
By Like Media Team
Life is full of moments we wish we could relive, or experience just one more time. For adults facing life-limiting conditions, One More Time, Inc. brings those moments to life, tailoring experiences that leave lasting memories for participants and their families. From grand adventures to simple joys, each experience is designed to reflect the unique wishes of the individual.
The organization was born from personal loss. After unexpectedly losing her father in 2017, founder Tiffinay Vargas realized the power of shared experiences in the face of lifeâs fragility. âThose losses developed the idea of One More Time and being able to have these experiences with others, since I no longer can have them with my father,â she says. That spark of empathy became the foundation of an organization devoted to bringing joy and connection to those who need it most.
Over the years, One More Time has orchestrated a wide spectrum of experiences. Some are bucket-list adventures, like trips to Disney, Legoland, NASCAR, and the Grand Canyon Skywalk. Others are intimate and whimsical, such as fishing outings, sidecar motorcycle rides, or simply enjoying a milkshake while driving around town to see how things have changed. No matter the scale, the goal is the same: to create moments of happiness that ripple outward to families, caregivers, and volunteers.
The impact of these experiences goes far beyond the participants themselves. Many adults facing health challenges feel hopeless, and their families often struggle to know how to help. Watching a recipientâs joy spread to everyone around them is one of the most powerful aspects of the organization. âWhen you help with a One More Time, you canât wait to do it again,â the team says, reflecting the contagious joy that these experiences create.
Community involvement is critical to keeping One More Timeâs mission alive. Volunteers assist with fundraising, planning, and executing each unique experience, and local partnerships make adventures possible. Whether someone has a boat, golf cart, or helicopter, their contribution can turn a wish into reality. Donations and sponsorships help sustain the organization and fund events like the upcoming Mr. North Idaho Fundraiser, which will also support hiring a Fundraising Director to expand the reach of One More Time.
The organizationâs strength lies in its connections between participants, families, volunteers, and the broader community. Every experience relies on collaboration, and every act of generosity amplifies the joy created. By combining thoughtful planning, heartfelt empathy, and the support of the community, One More Time ensures that every individual it serves has the chance to experience something meaningfulâŚone more time.
