Inspired by a combination of the love of building and the challenge of the process, MG Custom Builders is the vision of Matt and wife Marina.
Serving Kootenai and Bonner counties, MG Custom Builders provides contracting and building experience, combined with many valuable services such as land use consulting and cabinet building, making them a unique construction and development firm here in North Idaho.
Husband-and-wife team Matt and Marina George have been serving clients since 2005—and right here in North Idaho since 2022. Not only does MG Custom Builders bring 18 years of fine home building to the community, but Marina’s experience as a professional land use consultant also assists their clients with feasibility, planning and permitting. “She is a great resource for anyone thinking about buying or developing land,” smiles husband Matt.
Specializing in custom home builds, the couple also takes on high-end remodels/additions, ADUs, and have a custom cabinetry/millwork shop in Coeur d’Alene—from cabinets to statement doors and bespoke furniture, designed by the Matt and built by Matt’s younger brother Nate George at MG Custom Builders—which allows them to have control with the finished end of their projects. “We can truly meet the needs of our clients,” says Marina. “Our operation is truly a family affair, and we really enjoy serving the needs of other families in our community.”
The couple relocated to Coeur d’Alene in 2022. “We have been here just over a year,” the couple shares. “We came for the nature and the amazing community that prides itself on integrity and hard work.” Since moving to the area, they’ve enjoyed getting to know other business owners and the opportunity to network, adding that building their business with other local businesses is important to them.
As Matt shares, “To continually obtain success, you have to maintain a certain level of motivation for it.
