Downtown Coeur d'Alene hosts fantastic music performances at local businesses on the fourth Friday each month from January through March before Art Walks begin on the second Friday of each month from April through December. The Music Walks are from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and give you the opportunity to visit many downtown businesses-turned-concert-venues and sample a wide variety of music from local artists. Each November, businesses and individuals come together to decorate and donate some 40 lavish Christmas trees and displays which are enjoyed by attendees and ultimately sold at auction. Each year proceeds raised at the Festival of Trees help fund needed services at Kootenai Health. The Winter Swap, happening in November, is North Idaho's largest winter sports equipment and clothing event featuring thousands of new and used winter sports items being sold by both individuals and area winter sports stores. The annual event has become the premier event to kick-off of the winter season in North Idaho.
